How we developed the Multi-layer Silk Print Technique for Hello Kitty Bobbleware

Here at Bobbleware, we take pride in creating innovative and unique ideas to set us apart from conventional products. 

For our first licensed collaboration range with Sanrio Hello Kitty, in order to achieve a realistic artwork effect, we have developed our one of a kind, .

Our silk print technique is a labor of love, with each print being individually printed, layer by layer by hand, using a fine mesh screen applied with light-sensitive emulsion coat which creates a stencil for the desired artwork, then aligned and placed on Bobbleware’s silicone cup sleeve.

Next, ink is applied to the screen layer by layer, in each individual color, then once completed the mesh gets pulled away from the silicone cup sleeve to achieve the final design. That’s why each final printed artwork may differ slightly and is unique. 

What sets our silk print technique apart is our ability to create multi-color designs. Conventional silk print techniques usually allows for mono-color prints only, but our passion combined with novel technique working with the right manufacture partner has enabled us to create all three exclusive artworks for the Hello Kitty x Bobbleware collaboration range.
